Fresh Strawberry Salad Recipe
With Strawberry Festival just around the corner, we are having so much fun experimenting with strawberry recipes! Move over, Strawberry Shortcake! If you’re looking for a new way to use some of your freshly picked strawberries, try this Strawberry & Balsamic Salad recipe.
Ingredients:
Strawberries, quartered. Buy local to support your community farmers!
Mixed greens
Red onion slices
Sliced almonds
Cheese crumbles (we used Mediterranean seasoned feta!)
Pepper
2 tablespoons Balsamic Vinegar
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons farm fresh maple syrup
Salt (to taste)
6 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions:
Make the vinaigrette by whisking the balsamic vinegar, Dijon mustard, honey, and salt. Then, whisk in the olive oil.
Fill a bowl with a bed of greens. Top with strawberries, onions, almonds, cheese crumbles and fresh pepper. Drizzle dressing. Enjoy!
