Wedding Memories Are Cultivated at Local Farm in Upstate NY
SCHAGHTICOKE, NY (05/24/2011)(readMedia)– Country weddings have become a popular new trend because they can be glamorous and laid back at the same time. One local farm in Upstate NY, Liberty Ridge Farm in Schaghticoke captures all the charm and elegance a bride wants for her wedding day with the flavor of a country setting. Set on the banks of the Hoosic River, Liberty Ridge Farm offers the Gifford Barn and Their Event Tent.
“We have seen the interest increase in our wedding services this year”, said Cynthia Gifford owner of Liberty Ridge Farm. The Farm is a host to weddings year round: for indoor celebrations the Gifford barn offers a genteel venue with equestrian décor. The Barn measures 2400 square feet and finished with beautiful cherry harvest tables and connected to a large wrap around deck over looking the scenic Hoosic River.
Liberty Ridge Farm’s outdoor wedding venue is available from June through November in the Event Tent. Nestled in a cornfield, 13 feet high lush green corn plants surround the tent, to create your own private whimsical experience. Adorned with French style window walls the Event Tent captures the laid back elegance and refined charm you expect from an outdoor wedding.
Liberty Ridge Farm has taken the time to ensure farmtastic memories are cultivated with each wedding. “When looking for an experience for your wedding day, the location is everything.” Says, Cynthia Gifford, “Our picturesque setting creates memorable photo opportunities and the tranquil atmosphere lends to your special celebration. Liberty Ridge Farm has a wonderful blend of rustic elegance that pampers the wedding party with decor and charm. “Our ceremony sites create those once in a lifetime moments that are cultivated forever.”
With an on-site wedding facilitator Liberty Ridge Farm has been able to culminate the wedding planning process with delectable catering packages, and florist recommendations. If you are planning your wedding and looking at Liberty Ridge Farm, they provide cooking space for your own caterer if you choose. They are presently scheduling site tours and have dates available for this year.
Liberty Ridge Farm is an agricultural tourism destination and working farm on the Historic Hoosic River. The Gifford Family hosts a Fall Festival featuring the Capital Region’s original cornfield maze and also features Brad’s Barnyard of family fun adventure and special events. The 2011 Fall Season begins September 17th and runs through November 6th. The Farm is available for Educational Field Trips, Weddings, Company Picnics and Special Events.
