Cynthia Gifford is amongst other women who are in a group considered to be one of the fastest growing segments of new farmers and business owners, bringing with them fresh and creative approaches to agriculture and with them sowing new farming ventures. Liberty Ridge Farm has grown from a cornfield maze experience into a premier agri-tourism destination with family adventures, themed attractions and food-based business ventures that have blended entrepreneurial start-ups with their full time passion for healthy, fresh, quality community experiences.

Cynthia is no stranger to hard work with her dedication to growing her business along side her husband Robert and her 2 children Rebecca and Bradley. Together they have brought their farm into the forefront of the Capital Region’s thoughts, offering venues for Company Picnics, Weddings, Family Gatherings and their wildly popular Fall Festival & Harvest Haunted Attractions. From the very begining of the first cornfield maze to adding “Brad’s Barnyard” a barnyard full of over 20 age appropriate outdoor activivites, their journey has not always been a fairytale. A farmer’s determination has put their family amongst a growing trend of business owners who are referred to as “ecopreneurs”. Cynthia, Robert & family have built their farm into a destination with a simple foundation of providing the best “on the farm” experience to all who visit them. This simple yet powerful mission has grown their farm into a full year destination that is now open 12 months and has many season offerings. Liberty Ridge Farm shares their passion for conservation, community and education through their summer camp field-trip & Fall field-trip programs. Registration is now open for educational adventures that thrill children through hands on experiences that emphasis the importance of healthy land, food and community connections.

Liberty Ridge Farm is a full year business that is now open with new seasonal offerings, specialty dining experiences and unique wine tastings. The farm is planning new events such as; “Mother’s Day Brunch”, “Cuisine in the Corn” and an October treat “Wine with the Witch” that will coincide with their core family fun themed events. This year Liberty RIdge Farm has adopted the “Pride in the U.S.A” theme that has inspired their corn field maze design and new fall farm experiences that will take place with weekend shows, games and fun for families, friends and all who attend. The Gifford Barn is Liberty Ridge Farm’s centerpiece that has recently expanded to include a new Farmhouse Kitchen, a new chef and an all new menu that caters to weddings, company picnics, corporate parties and holiday gatherings and more.
