With our 2011 Hubble Space Telescope Adventure Corn Maze and our All New Jumping Pillow, the Albany Saratoga Capital District has only a 30 minute drive to share a farmtastic celebration during this harvest season. Have you ever seen a Jumping Pillow ? Odds are if your kids see it, they will want to jump again and again. This special attraction has some added benefits to it, you as a parent can jump and enjoy this activity together with your child. We hear belly laughs time and again as parents and child jump their ways into each others hearts. Liberty Ridge Farm has some super celebrations planned for the 2011 Fall Season check out our events calendar. Starting September 17th is our Fall Festival, with this years NASA inspired corn maze, we will have you lost in space among the stars. Liberty Ridge Farm is the northeast representative of the SPACEFARM7- a special outreach program aimed at educating children across the US on space exploration. Liberty Ridge Farm is working with NASA in conjunction with 6 other agri-tourism destinations located in the US to educate and entertain families with their corn maze creations. NY Educational Field Trips and “Spring into Agricultural Day” at Liberty Ridge Farm Bring Learning to Life
SCHAGHTICOKE, NY (05/04/2011)(readMedia)– Liberty Ridge Farm is happy to announce a continued collaboration with Cornell Cooperative Extension of Rensselaer and Saratoga Counties with a new “Spring into Agricultural Day” on the farm educational program on June 7th. The program is open to 1st – 4th grade classrooms including homeschoolers in Rensselaer and Saratoga Counties. Education Stations will be set up on topics such as; honey bees, dairy, shearing, berries and planting. Projects are designed to fit within the NYS learning standards for 1st to 4th grade students.
“We have been working with the Cornell Cooperative Extension for the past 10 years hosting a special one day fall field trip. This year we are providing an educational field trip in the spring for the first time. Together we created a program that will provide a hands-on experience to students to learn what springtime is like on the farm.” said Cynthia Gifford, Owner of Liberty Ridge Farm. Students will take an interpretive walk down a farm footpath will take the student through the areas of the farm which will illustrate the many environmental and life cycle the changes that occur annually. Liberty Ridge Farm Field trips focus on core educational value with an emphasis on activities that can educate and exercise the mind and the body.

Liberty Ridge Farm Presents at National MAiZE Conference
March 7th, 2011 by cynthiaAlbany, NY — Mar 07, 2011 / – The Capital Region’s premier agritourism destination, was a presenter at the national MAiZE conference held February 24th — 27th in Raleigh, North Carolina.
“We were honored to be chosen as a presenter at the national MAiZE conference,” said Cynthia Gifford, Owner of Liberty Ridge Farm. “Over 350 attendees were at the conference representing just about every state in the union.”
For over 11 years the MAiZE organization has held conferences and provided information to farms throughout the United States to help them promote their corn mazes and argritourism business’
“We were asked to present to the conferences attendees about the necessity of providing food to your guest. At Liberty Ridge Farm we are very proud of the quality of the food that we provide to our guests which is all prepared at our farm and is of the best quality,” said Gifford.
Liberty Ridge Farm is an agricultural tourism destination and working farm on the historic Hoosic River. The Gifford Family hosts a Fall Festival featuring the Capital Region’s original cornfield maze, Brad’s Barnyard of family fun adventure and special events.
“The conference was an amazing success and offered us the opportunity to network with hundreds of farms throughout the US and compare notes so we can offer our guest the best experience possible,” concluded Gifford.
