Well this year is a special year for sure for Liberty Ridge Farm.  With our 2011 Hubble Space Telescope Adventure Corn Maze and our All New Jumping Pillow, the Albany Saratoga Capital District has only a 30 minute drive to share a farmtastic celebration during this harvest season.  Have you ever seen a Jumping Pillow ?  Odds are if your kids see it, they will want to jump again and again.  This special attraction has some added benefits to it, you as a parent can jump and enjoy this activity together with your child.  We hear belly laughs time and again as parents and child jump their ways into each others hearts.  Liberty Ridge Farm has some super celebrations planned for the 2011 Fall Season  check out our events calendar. SCHAGHTICOKE, NY (08/01/2011)(readMedia)– Space Farm 7 is a collection of Seven Farms Across the U.S. That will Invite the public to Get Lost in Space this Fall in an out of this world display of corn maze creations. In a special outreach titled Space Farm 7, Liberty Ridge Farm is among 7 of the nation’s top agritourism farms that are joining together in collaboration with NASA to celebrate and honor the U.S. space program this fall. Each farm has planted corn mazes, an increasingly popular phenomenon of elaborate crop circle-type creations that challenge and delight visitors. The Space Farm 7 corn mazes will feature designs celebrating NASA’s achievements and progress in space.

The objective of this outreach project is to expose guests to NASA space exploration and educate children across the United States. This year NASA celebrated the 50th anniversary of the first American in space, the 30th anniversary of the first Space Shuttle mission and the 20th anniversary of the Hubble Space Telescope’s deployment in space. NASA recently completed construction of the International Space Station and will conclude the Space Shuttle Program now that the final shuttle launch and return was successful. The Space Farm 7 outreach is a timely once in a lifetime coordinated celebration.

NASA has ten regional research centers located in the United States, each of which has a different responsibility. The individual members of the Space Farm 7 have been paired up with their local space center in order to highlight that region’s contribution to NASA. Liberty Ridge Farm in New York will feature achievements of the NASA Hubble Space Telescope Program and is paired up with Goddard Space Flight Center out of Maryland.

Liberty Ridge Farm and the Space Farm 7 will have games and activities in the mazes will reinforce the educational missions of the Space Program so maze-goers can learn and have fun at the same time. This year a very special celebration is taking place at Liberty Ridge with the Hubble Space Telescope Adventure Corn Maze. The corn maze features the Hubble Telescope and the Space Shuttle flying amongst cosmic stars. The 2011 season has something for families with little ones or families with kids that are grown up, getting lost amongst the stars together is a once in a lifetime Liberty Ridge & NASA experience.

“We are honored to be chosen to be part of this program,” said Cynthia Gifford, owner of Liberty Ridge Farm. “Not only do we get to collaborate with other farm operators across the nation in a unified effort to entertain and educate families, we are also going to be part of history in paying tribute to NASA.”

Liberty Ridge Farm, the leading agritourism destination in Upstate New York, announced today that they are now booking parties for the 2011 Camp Celebration season.

Nestled in Brad’s Barnyard is a little ecclectic corral, made up of four individual cabins each with their own personality that creates the community named Camp Celebration. Cabins are available for birthday parties, small groups parties or social gatherings. Larger groups such as company picnics or corporate events can reserve multiple cabins or the entire camp community.

Camp Celebration offers an outdoor farm-tastic experience; “we have a little something for all ages”, said Cynthia Gifford, Owner of Liberty Ridge Farm. “The cabins are your own little place away from home with private porches and campfires, coupled with our catering that is brought directly to the cabin, partygoers can enjoy all of Brad’s Barnyard adventures and then come back to the cabin when the food is served.”

If you are interested in reservations, each cottage or cabins has a party area, porch, picnic tables and optional campfire site. The cabins are rented in 3 hour blocks at a cost of $50 per cabin, plus admission for each attendee.
