In a special outreach titled Space Farm 7, Liberty Ridge Farm is among 7 of the nation’s top agritourism farms that are joining together in collaboration with NASA to celebrate and honor the U.S. space program this fall. Each farm has planted corn mazes, an increasingly popular phenomenon of elaborate crop circle-type creations that challenge and delight visitors. The Space Farm 7 corn mazes will feature designs celebrating NASA’s achievements and progress in space.

The objective of this outreach project is to expose guests to NASA space exploration and educate children across the United States. The Space Farm 7 outreach is a timely once in a lifetime coordinated celebration.

NASA has ten regional research centers located in the United States, each of which has a different responsibility. The individual members of the Space Farm 7 have been paired up with their local space center in order to highlight that region’s contribution to NASA. Liberty Ridge Farm in New York will feature achievements of the NASA Hubble Space Telescope Program and is paired up with Goddard Space Flight Center out of Maryland.

Liberty Ridge Farm and the Space Farm 7 will have games and activities in the mazes will reinforce the educational missions of the Space Program so maze-goers can learn and have fun at the same time. This year a very special celebration is taking place at Liberty Ridge with the Hubble Space Telescope Adventure Corn Maze. The corn maze features the Hubble Telescope and the Space Shuttle flying amongst cosmic stars.
