Calling all little wranglers Liberty Ridge Farm steps back in time to the OLD West from 1pm to 5pm Saturday and Sunday October 22nd & 23rd in Schaghticoke, NY. Liberty Ridge Farm the Capital Districts largest and original Corn Maze celebrates Western Weekend with a festival of activities including Face painting, Balloon Artistry, Barrel Racing on Inflatable Horses, Rope a Steer challenge, Marshmallow Gun target practice and the Hubble Telescope Corn Maze. The farm will have Cowboys & Prospectors and even a Old West Sheriff deputizing each little wrangler. Freshly Made Apple Cider Donuts, Fall Mums, Pumpkins, Corn Stalks and Apple Cider Slushies and a wide variety of the farm chefs favorite delights and foods will be available.

The Hubble Space Telescope Corn Maze will amuse each family member as they get lost among the stars in the 11 acre maze dedicated to the 20 year successful NASA mission of the Hubble Telescope. The maze is made of Phase 1 and phase 2, phase 1 is a challenge that will have on th outer rim of space, you will be lost approximately 20 to 30 minutes. Phase 2 of the corn maze will take you deeper into outer space and have you navigating more stars and galaxies as you try to make is back to earth to complete your mission. After you complete the corn maze Old West will have – Pioneers, prospectors, cowboys, outlaws, saloon girls around the farm. Throughout the day there will be face painting by Magic Brushes and Farmer Bruce will be strolling the grounds with balloon artistry, tricks and jokes. In the riding ring the friendly competition will include a race around the barrel and hay bales on inflatable miniature ponies, a family favorite Sack races and sheriff’s deputy’s Marshmallow gun shooting range, and more. In a time when people risked it for the gold rush, each little wrangler can try to strike it rich as they Pan for Gold.

Liberty Ridge Farm Offers Campers A Day of Fun and Adventure!

— Feb 23, 2011 / (http://www.myprgenie.com) — The Capital Region’s premier agritourism destination opens its gates to summer camp groups for a day of adventure on the farm. Campers experience an awesome time navigating the Capital Region’s largest corn maze and engaging in Brad’s Barnyard activities, full of fun and learning.
Liberty Ridge Farm‘s field trip is both educational and fun,” said Cynthia Gifford, Owner Liberty Ridge Farm. “In addition to fun in the area’s largest corn maze, kids can experience over 30 educational and fun adventures in Brad’s Barnyard Activities. Not far from anywhere in the Capital Region, Liberty Ridge Farm in Schaghticoke is the perfect place to grow imaginations.”
Farm Adventures begin July 20th and go through September 2nd and are offered every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Groups enjoy three hours on the farm at $8.50 per camper, with no admission charge for staff. A farm fresh option is picking ½ pint of the freshest blueberries to take home for additional $2.
Campers can bring their own bagged lunch, or we offer our farm lunch for an additional $5. TheFarm Hand Lunch includes a hot dog, bag of chips, a bottle of water and our own freshly picked blueberries, served family style. Lunch is served at the “Pitch Fork” (our outdoor kitchen) and at the time specified when placing the order. Picnic tables and shaded areas are available for everyone to enjoy their lunches.
