Come spend a Autum day on the Farm.  Check out our very own Pumpkin Patch, Corn Maze, Shows and all Activities at T he Liberty Ridge Farm’s Fall Festival.  Our Harvest Season kicks off on September 22nd and runs through November 2nd 2012.  The Festival includes the Capital Region’s largest and original corn maze, Brad’s Barnyard Adventure and lots of family fun on the farm in Schaghticoke nestled in Rensselaer County NY.

Venture through the 12-acre labyrinth of 13 foot high cornstalks, have fun with all the activities in Brad’s Barnyard, feed the farm animals, see the shows.  Relax a bit, enjoy a meal and take a scenic trolley ride along the banks of the Hoosic River. A whole day of family fun at an affordable price. A true treasure of the Capital Region.

What to do on your visit:

Corn Maze – First stop in the MAiZE Junction, you will be introduced to the maze activities. The Passport game and Corn Texting will help you navigate through the maze as well as provide information on a variety of topics for any age group. Play the Cornundrum game and enter to win a prize.

Brad’s Barnyard Adventure – 7 acres of fun! 80′ Tunnel Slide, Giant Gerbil Wheels, Pedal Karts, Cow Train, Rabbit Town, more mazes and farm animals. Check out our interactive map to see all the fun and educational activities!

Trolley Ride – Hop on at any one of the trolley stops and enjoy a leisurely ride along the banks of the Hoosic River and around the farm. The pumpkin patch is one of the trolley stops. Take time picking out your favorite Halloween pumpkin.

Pumpkin Shooters – You know the pumpkin Cannon Show is awesome! Now you can shoot pumpkins at targets. Nominal fee per pumpkin.

The Harvest Haunt Attraction – Every Friday and Saturday Night in October the farm transforms into a night of fear and terror. Recommended age of appropriateness, 10 years and older.

“Pig Races- This hilarious performance has scheduled shows throughout the day. Cheer on your favorite pig shows”

Miss Moo’s Musical Revue – Shows throughout the day performed by a barn full of farm animals – singing, telling jokes and providing educational programs on farm life.

The Mighty Pumpkin Cannon can shoot a pumpkin up to 1/2 mile away

Pumpkin Cannon – For any power enthusiast, this cannon is awesome! Watch how high and how far the pumpkins eject from the cannon. Shows scheduled throughout the day.

HillBilly Band – Those honkey hillbillies are sitting on their front porch playing bluegrass all day and night. A delight to watch and dance.

Food

Gifford Barn – Dine in the Quincy Room or bask in the sun on the deck overlooking the Farm and Hoosic River. For lunch the Farm kitchen serves up, grilled sandwiches, pork barbeque, salads, chili and soups. From the bakery, enjoy a dessert or take a treat home: Farm Fresh Fudge, Caramel Apples, Seasonal Pies and of course our famous Cider Donuts.

The Maze Junction – Before venturing into the Corn Maze, gather provisions for the trail. Snacks, beverages, souvenirs & glow items available.

Pitch Fork – Located in Brad’s Barnyard beverages and snacks are available everyday. Open on the weekends the Pitch Fork’s outdoor kitchen grills up hot dogs, hamburgers and locally grown roasted corn on the cob as wells serving up original Saratoga Chips and mouth watering side dishes.

The Feed Bucket – Hot and cold beverages and an array of snacks. Located behind the Miss Moo’s Musical Revue

Farm Market – As you head for home, pick up our fresh apple cider donuts and pies. The market offers a cornucopia of fresh local produce and natural fall decorations. For all your autumn décor, we offer our own large colorful mums, squash, gourds, Indian corn, cornstalks, pumpkins and hay bales. You may find a memento of your day at Liberty Ridge.
